Marinated chicken breast – Variations on a theme

April 2, 2012 in Meat

Talking about music, variation is a compositional technique in which a theme is repeated with changes throughout a piece, classic example, this:

The variation or variety is something that is much appreciated, especially in certain areas like the kitchen.

- Again lentils?

Who says lentils can also say, for example, chicken breasts.
A very common way of eating is breaded
a dish that has among other advantages that you can prepare it a day, freeze it(provided separately) and solve any lunch or dinner.
But after twenty or more years, seeing the same breast, everyone gets tired. Well here I bring a small change, nothing special, but it gives a special touch.

To cook it  requires, obviously chicken breasts. The special is in the marinade to do we need:

Salt, pepper

Half a glass of white wine (half a glass but of course it will depend on how manybreasts are going to batter, Please use your common sense).

The same amount of olive oil.

And now a few weeds.

I’ve put the ones I have usually in a glass jar, which is labeled ”my garden”
There, I put everything that grows in my garden, more or less edible, eg Thyme, Rosemary, Parsley, and according to the time Laurel, oregano.

also I added cumin (I like the special touch) Of all the herbs (together), I have usedapproximately two tablespoons

1 clove garlic, pressed or sheets, depending on whether you want the flavor note or so,but if you like, without garlic and so happy.

Mix all ingredients and add the chicken breasts cut into strips, marinate in the refrigerator. at least 8 hours,

Drain the chicken is coated. I’ve batter using, half bread crumbs, flour and half to brighten the dish, I’ve added a teaspoon of oregano. And ready.
Fry in oil and drain on kitchen paper

I saw something similar in Senl op Tafel, but as there is written in Dutch I do notunderstand anything, luckily was also in L’Exquisit

To accompany some potatoes with joy, some simple chips thrown at them over someherbs for color.
