Today my self-esteem is on top. Get off Ferran Adrià, Paul Bocusse, Arzak, Berasategui and other prize-winnings cooks.
Sometimes I ask myself, what importance may have for the human race development to serve a small an expensive dish of carrot nose or to use liquid nitrogen to cook an ice of turnip (I don’t know if they had try to cook it but, all is possible) The answer is easy: zero.
But, getting a lot of the rock-hard nougat (On Spain “turrón de Alicante) in fact, this a commendable piece of work.
After Christmas, in Spanish homes the most part, the rock-hard nougat rests in the kitchen until, when sick to see it there, the nougat end its days in the trash or goes to a charity institution.
Few people eat this kind of nougat, the gran-father because he doesn’t wish to put his false teeth on risk, young people because orthodontics. Me, simply because I don’t like it. I never buy that nougat kind but every year it is again.
Oh Dear. I din’t know what you need, but I have brought you a bit of nougat…
I succeed in the end two different cookies kinds.
Here, it is the first one. Let’s go.
First we need a blunt instrument to make the nougat “digestible” by the robot, it could be a hammer.

Now you can crush it.

You need one cup crushed nougat about 250 gr.
A bit off salt (a small bit)
Butter, one cup
Flour, 2 cups
and some icing sugar to roll over the cookies.

First step: mix nougat and flour

Like that

Add the butter

Mix until it looks like that.
Put the mixture in the fridge about half an hour.

Make small balls (like walnuts).
Put it in the oven (180 degrees) for 12 minuts (NO MORE)

When they are cool sprinkle with icing sugar, or roll over them and…

Enjoy your meal!

Tomorrow I’ll explain you the second recipe.

See you.
