Bitter orange marmalade – second recipe

If yesterday’s recipe thought you heavy, wait for today’s.
For One Kilograms oranges we need:
A half kilogram sweet orange. A quarter kilogram lemon that means one or two pieces more or less, two kilograms sugar and two liters water.
OK here we go.
Wash the oranges and lemons and boil them during half an hour (Don’t peel the fruits and don’t throw the water).
When fruit are cold (do it before can be dangerous) empty out the oranges and the lemons. Put the pulp and the pips into a gauze or any other thin tissue in shape as a small bag.
Cut the orange peel on straps as fine as you can and set side. At the same time, cut up the whole sweet oranges.

(You can imagine how my kitchen looks in this moment I remember you the marmalade is my husband’s matter)
Put .. “that” in a pan (usually the perfectionist have special pan to cook marmalade. At home we use the oldest one because nobody knows in the ending how it will be. However, I know who will wash it) there you must add also the bag with the pulp and pips.
If you have lost, don’t worry we sum up.
We have the sweet oranges (pulp and peel) into a “bag” which contains the bitter orange and lemons pulp and pips altogether into a pan special or not as you wish.
Add the sugar and be sure that it has completely dissolved leave it in a cold place not in the fridge. There, in the fridge, you must put the orange straps since tomorrow.

The day after add the straps and put the pan to cook over a low heat stirring time by time in fact all time. When it comes to heat boil let it one hour and half stirring it time by time.

This is the moment to give the mop to your husband and while he is washing the kitchen you can go to the supermarket to buy a bitter orange marmalade jar or sweet one, as you wish
See you
